The basics

Scuffed UNO is a free online multiplayer UNO card game played with the standard 108-card deck. The deck has four colors (red, blue, green, yellow); each color has one 0, two each of 1–9, and two each of the action cards (Skip, Reverse, +2). There are also four Wild cards and four Wild +4 cards.

At the start of a game every player is dealt 7 cards and the top card of the deck is flipped onto the discard pile. Players take turns playing a card in the current direction of play. The first player with no cards left wins the round.

Playing a card

On your turn you must play a card matching the color or value of the top discard. If you have no playable card you draw one from the deck — if the drawn card is playable you may play it immediately, otherwise your turn ends. Wild cards can always be played, and you pick the color when you play one.

Down to one card? Hit the UNO! button before your last-but-one card lands — if the next player moves before you call it, you draw 2 penalty cards.

The cards

0–9numbered color cards with no special effect. Play on a matching color or number.

Skipthe next player's turn is skipped.

Reversethe direction of play flips. With two players it acts like a Skip.

+2the next player draws 2 cards and loses their turn.

Wildplay on anything and choose the color for the next player.

Wild +4choose the color, and the next player draws 4 cards and loses their turn.

Scoring

When a round ends, the winner scores points from the cards left in everyone else's hands: number cards are worth their face value, Skip / Reverse / +2 are worth 20, and Wild / Wild +4 are worth 50. In team mode every player on the winning team gets the win and the full points. Signed-in players' wins and points count toward the leaderboard.

House rules & options

The room host can toggle these when creating a room or from the lobby.

Stackingwhen a +2 or +4 is played on you, you can play a card of the same symbol to stack the penalty and pass the whole pile to the next player. A +4 can't be stacked on a +2 or vice versa.

Jump-inif you hold the exact same card as the top discard (same color and value), you can play it instantly — even when it's not your turn.

7-0playing a 7 lets you swap hands with a player of your choice; playing a 0 rotates everyone's hand in the direction of play.

Force playif the card you draw is playable, you must play it instead of keeping it.

Draw to playwith no playable card, you keep drawing until you find one instead of drawing just one card. Penalty draws from +2/+4 are excluded.

Teamsplay 2v2 or 3v3 — teammates see each other's hands and win together.

Turn timereach turn has a time limit (15–45 seconds, or off). If time runs out, the game plays a sensible move for you.
