Terms of Service

Scuffed UNO is a free game, played at your own risk, and run by an independent developer with no guarantees of uptime. Play fair, don't abuse other players, and don't try to break the service. By using the site you agree to these terms and to the privacy policy.

Scuffed UNO ("we", "the service") provides a browser-based multiplayer UNO card game. You can play as a guest with no account, or create a free account for a leaderboard, match history, XP, and daily challenges. We may add, change, or remove features, house rules, or game modes at any time.

Every deploy of the game restarts the server, which clears any rooms and games in progress at that moment. We try to time this for quiet hours, but we don't guarantee a game in progress won't be interrupted.

Accounts are optional. If you create one, you're responsible for keeping your login secure and for activity on your account. Use a real, working email if you sign up, don't impersonate another person, and don't create multiple accounts to manipulate the leaderboard or challenges. We can suspend or delete accounts that break these terms.

You agree not to:

• Harass, threaten, or send hateful or explicit content to other players in chat
• Use bots, scripts, or automation to play on your behalf or manipulate game state
• Exploit bugs to gain an unfair advantage — please report them to us instead
• Attempt to disrupt the service (denial-of-service, spamming rooms, etc.)
• Attempt to access another player's account or data without permission

A player who leaves mid-game has their seat handed to a bot so the game can continue for everyone else; a room host can also remove a disruptive player.

The service is supported by banner advertising (Google AdSense), which keeps it free to play. Ads never appear during a live hand. See the privacy policy for details on advertising cookies.

UNO® is a registered trademark of Mattel, Inc. Scuffed UNO is an independent, fan-made implementation of the classic card game rules and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Mattel.

The service is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind. We don't guarantee it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or available at any particular time. To the extent permitted by law, we're not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of the service, including lost game progress, XP, or leaderboard standing.

We may update these terms from time to time. If we make a material change, we'll update the date at the top and post about it in News. Continuing to use the service after a change means you accept the updated terms.
